A Thankful Heart Brings His Peace

Todah Shalom is the name of this blog for a reason. Counting our blessings and thanking God for them refocuses us and brings us to YHVH’s shalom. Even in the midst of chaos and confusion, or perhaps especially in times of trial and tribulation. When we most need to draw near to the Lord and we flounder about struggling to see Him through the storm these are the times when we must have an attitude of gratitude. If we don’t want to be swept away in a torrent of destructive thoughts and feelings then we must cling to YHVH and trust Him to lead us through the storms. This time of my life is proving full of storms so I am choosing Todah and Shalom today.

English Standard Version

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:15

So here is my gratitude list:

  1. I am so grateful that God is in control!
  2. I am grateful for my 10 living children.
  3. Nurses
  4. Doctors
  5. Hospitals
  6. Sitters
